Greetings to our NVES Community!

My name is Kelli Sunderland, and I am thrilled to serve as the new Assistant Principal at Nicolas Valley Elementary School. This upcoming school year will mark my 32nd year in education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a classroom teacher, Literacy and Math Specialist, Teacher on Special Assignment for Special Education, and administrator. To now serve in the role of Assistant Principal at this amazing school — a place I have called home for the past few years — is truly special.

 

Outside of school, I have a wonderful and busy life with my family, who mean the world to me. My husband, Andy and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We love spending time with our son, Jack, and his wife, Meekiah, as well as our daughter, Shea. Hanging out at the beach and spending time with family and friends are among our favorite pastimes.

 

As Assistant Principal, my primary goal is to work alongside our staff, students, and families in pursuit of academic, social, and behavioral excellence for all students. I look forward to continuing to build relationships within our school community as we work together to support your child’s success.
